One of the most enduring memories for players was the difficulty. Diamond Rush was unforgiving. One wrong move could trap you behind a boulder, or a snake could bite you, sending you back to the start of the level.

For 2700 Classic users, the controls were intuitive. The D-pad moved the character, while the center button handled actions. The tactile feedback of the physical buttons made navigating the game’s perilous jumps much more satisfying than a touchscreen swipe ever could be.
