Velamma, a popular Hindi comic book series, has been a staple of Indian entertainment since its inception in the 1990s. Created by Uncleji, the series revolves around the misadventures of Velamma, a middle-aged woman, and her husband, Babu. This paper aims to examine the 'plumber problem' in Velamma, exploring the complexities of Indian comics, cultural sensitivities, and the blurred lines between entertainment and obscenity.
