The HP ProBook 4530s BIOS can be updated either via HP’s official Softpaq (simplest, no manual .bin needed) or via an external SPI programmer using a raw .bin file for recovery. The latter is only necessary for unbricking. For standard updates, extracting the .bin from the Softpaq is useful for advanced analysis but not required for daily operation.
