The most widely circulated Romanian Bible translation is the Cornilescu version. However, the original 1924 Cornilescu translation was reviewed and approved by the Romanian Orthodox Church. Later editions (especially the 1989 or "Corectată" versions) made changes without synodal approval. Many free PDFs online do not specify which edition they are. A "better" PDF will explicitly state that it is the Cornilescu – Versiunea Sinodală or the Biblia de la București (1688).
