TDU2 TexMod Guide: Custom Textures & Visual Mods What is TexMod? TexMod is a tool that intercepts and replaces textures in DirectX 9 games. For TDU2, it allows you to change car liveries, decals, rims, UI elements, road textures, and more—without modifying original game files.
Prerequisites
Test Drive Unlimited 2 (PC, DirectX 9 mode – Steam/retail/disc) TexMod (v0.9 beta or similar) .tpf texture packages (mod files) or your own extracted textures Backup of your Euro folder (optional but recommended)

Step 1: Download & Install TexMod
Download TexMod from a trusted modding site (Nexus Mods, GBAtemp, or TDU forums). Extract TexMod.exe to a dedicated folder (e.g., C:\TDU2_TexMod ). No installation required – it’s portable.

Step 3: Run TDU2 with TexMod Method A – Package Mode (load pre-made .tpf)
Launch TexMod.exe Click Target Application → browse to TDU2.exe (usually in C:\Program Files\Test Drive Unlimited 2\ ) Under Mode , select Package Mode Click Select Package → choose your .tpf file Click Run → TDU2 launches with modded textures.
