The story begins in the present day when Jérôme Vassier (Franck Dubosc) visits his father, Gilbert (Jean Reno), who is struggling with memory loss. During a family gathering, Jérôme discovers an old board game his father allegedly invented. After a failed attempt to get the family to play, an earthquake strikes, sending them through a time warp. They find themselves in a dangerous 15th-century village plagued by real werewolves. To return home, the family must successfully "play" the game by unmasking and defeating the four werewolves hidden among the villagers. The film features a notable French cast: Jean Reno as Gilbert, the grandfather.
