Zeokat has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question: Corporate networks, VPNs, or aggressive firewalls can block or alter ESET’s update traffic. If a proxy requires authentication that ESET doesn’t have, the update server will reject the request. A corrupted local cache can prevent successful authorization even with a valid license. Open the main ESET program window. Press on your keyboard to enter Advanced setup . Click Update on the left sidebar. Find the Clear update cache section and click Clear . Restart your computer and try to update again. 3. Adjust Proxy and Connection Settings Take action now. Start with Solution 1 (verify your license online). Within ten minutes, your ESET should be updating smoothly again, and your system will return to full protection.
