Important Note: "WEP" is often a re-branding of common Chinese thermal printers (like those from Xprinter, JiaBo, or HPRT). If the steps below don't work, your printer may use Seagull / NiceLabel drivers or generic POS58 drivers.
Step 1: Identify Your Connection Type Before downloading, check how you will connect the TH400:
USB (most common) Ethernet (LAN) Serial (RS232)
Step 2: Download the Correct Driver Do not use random "driver download" websites. They often contain malware. Option A: Official Source (Recommended) wep th400 printer drivers download
Go to the WEP official website (if available – search "WEP printer official site"). Look for Support > Downloads > TH400 . Download the driver for your Windows version (10, 11, 7, etc.).
Option B: Generic Thermal Label Driver (If Official Not Found) Most TH400 printers work with the Seagull Scientific driver:
Search: "Seagull Driver for Thermal Label Printers" Download the driver for your OS. During installation, select "Generic" > "Thermal Label Printer" or try "Xprinter XP-420B" (often compatible). Important Note: "WEP" is often a re-branding of
Option C: Use Windows Built-in (Limited) Windows may auto-detect it as a "POS58 Printer" – this works for basic text but not for labels . Step 3: Install the Driver For USB Connection:
Do not connect printer yet (if installer warns). Run the downloaded .exe as Administrator. Accept defaults, choose USB when asked. Only connect the USB cable when the installer prompts you. Turn on the printer. Windows will complete installation.
If Windows Fails to Detect:
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers Click Add a printer (top bar) Select "The printer that I want isn't listed" Choose "Add a local printer" Port: USB001 (Virtual printer port for USB) Click Have Disk → Browse to the driver folder you downloaded. Select the .inf file and complete.
Step 4: Configure Printer Settings (Critical for Labels)
