The season follows Abhishek Tripathi (played by Jitendra Kumar), a young engineering graduate who reluctantly takes a job as the Sachiv (secretary) of the Gram Panchayat in the fictional, remote village of Phulera, Uttar Pradesh. Frustrated by his low salary and lack of urban amenities, he plans to use the position as a stepping stone for an MBA or a government job. The 8 episodes chronicle his struggles with bureaucratic red tape, quirky villagers, electricity cuts, and a troublesome BDE (Block Development Officer) named Mishra. By the end of the season, Abhishek evolves from a condescending outsider to a man who begins to form a genuine, if reluctant, bond with the village and its eccentric residents—especially Pradhan Pati Manju Devi and office assistant Vikas.
