The Wolverine is a 2013 superhero action film directed by James Mangold. The film stars Hugh Jackman as Logan / Wolverine, Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, and Ian McKellen as Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto. The movie is a standalone sequel to the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the sixth installment in the X-Men film series.
