As Maisie climbed into the tub, she noticed that Lilou the rubber ducky seemed to be glowing. Suddenly, Lilou began to speak in a squeaky voice, "Maisie, I've been sent to take you on an underwater adventure!"
Bath scenes have overlapping sounds. Use (audio from the next clip starts before the video cut) and L-cuts (audio from the previous clip continues after the cut). For example: When Lisa starts speaking while Maisie is still on screen, bring Lisa’s audio in 15 frames before cutting to her video.

If Maisie blinks and you need to cut between two similar angles, use a (Premiere Pro) or Optical Flow with a dissolve mask. This smooths over jump cuts in bath movements.
Most cameras record in H.264 or H.265 MP4. While these are efficient, they are not ideal for heavy editing (they are “long-GOP” codecs). Convert your MP4 files to an editing codec like ProRes or DNxHD if your storage allows. This prevents lag when scrubbing through bath water motion.
